EMMAUS – Rep. Milou Mackenzie (R-Lehigh/Montgomery/Northampton) announced today that she will begin hosting veterans service hours with American Legion Representative David Sharp, veteran service officer, at her Emmaus District Office located at 1245 D Chestnut St., Emmaus.
“Our veterans have sacrificed so much for the sake of our nation’s safety and security,” said Mackenzie. “These assistance hours allow for our servicemen and women to get the critical help they may need regarding health care, compensation and more. They have helped us in many ways and this is an opportunity where we can help them.”
Mackenzie will hold these services hours on the fourth Wednesday of the month,
with the next one scheduled for Wednesday, July 28, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Services to veterans and their dependents include assistance with compensation, pension and death benefits, education and health care, plus other benefits. Veterans do not need a membership with the American Legion to receive these services.
Those interested in scheduling an appointment can contact Mackenzie’s district office at 610-965-5830.
