Mackenzie to Co-Host Senior Identify Theft Seminar

March 21, 2022

EMMAUS – Rep. Milou Mackenzie (R-Lehigh/Montgomery/Northampton) welcomes all seniors of the 131st Legislative District to an Identity Theft Seminar she will be cohosting with the Pennsylvania Office of Attorney General.

The event will be held on Thursday, April 7, starting at 11 a.m., in the Upper Perkiomen Valley YMCA located at 1399 Quakertown Road in Pennsburg.

The seminar will be led by David Shallcross, director of senior protection with the Pennsylvania Office of Attorney General. Topics covered at this event will include information regarding what to do if one becomes a victim of identity theft, tips on how to protect personal information on-line and in everyday interactions, and guidelines on how to spot scams intended to steal one’s identity.

“This is a great opportunity for seniors to learn how to better protect themselves from identity theft and scams,” Mackenzie said. “As technology advances, so do scams. It is vital for everyone to stay informed on how to secure our most private and sensitive information from new theft trends.”

Those interested in attending this event, should call Mackenzie’s office at 610-965-5830 or register online at RepmMilouMackenziePA.com/events.
