HARRISBURG – Rep. Milou Mackenzie (R-Lehigh/Montgomery/Northampton) is pleased to announce grants totaling $476,000 have been awarded by the Commonwealth Financing Authority (CFA) to benefit residents in the 131st Legislative District. These funds will be used to enhance connectivity across various modes of transportation and to improve transportation infrastructure.
“I am extremely pleased to see that the communities of Pennsburg and Green Lane will be receiving the transportation grant money they so richly deserve and so desperately need,” said Mackenzie. “I was very happy to offer my support for these projects and am so thrilled the necessary improvements will be made to benefit the residents of the 131st District.”
Grant funding was awarded as follows:
Borough of Pennsburg - $376,000 for improvements along Eleventh Street.
Green Lane Borough - $100,000 for the installation of ADA-compliant pedestrian ramps.
The CFA was established in 2004 as an independent agency of the Pennsylvania Department of Community and Economic Development (DCED) to administer the Commonwealth’s economic stimulus packages.
Funding for these projects is being delivered through the Multimodal Transportation Fund (MTF) grant program, which provides financial support for projects to encourage economic development and ensure a safe and reliable transportation system for Commonwealth residents.
