HARRISBURG – Rep. Milou Mackenzie (R-Lehigh/Montgomery/Northampton) is pleased to announce more than $1.8 million in funding has been allocated for two critical projects in the 131st District through the Redevelopment Assistance Capital Program (RACP).

· Pennsburg Borough in Montgomery County will receive $847,850 to renovate the borough hall and an adjacent Public Works Garage located on the same property. Renovations to the borough hall include roof repairs, new exterior cladding, improved exterior lighting, and other essential upgrades, along with improvements to the garage.

· Upper Saucon Township in Lehigh County will receive $1 million to address pressing needs at St. Michael the Archangel School, which has seen increased enrollment over the past two academic years. The project will focus on three critical areas: school security, modernization of environmental facilities and facility expansion.

"I'm grateful the 131st District is receiving this essential funding to improve our communities,” said Mackenzie. “I am strongly in support of these projects because the renovations to Pennsburg Borough Hall and the public works garage will address critical needs for safety and functionality, while the improvements at St. Michael the Archangel School will enhance security, modernize facilities, and support expansion to meet growing enrollment. These investments will serve our residents and students well into the future."

RACP is a Commonwealth grant program administered by the Office of the Budget for the design, acquisition, and construction of regional economic, cultural, civic, recreational and historical improvement projects.
