Mackenzie Invites Residents to Senior Expo and Document Shredding Event

HARRISBURG – Rep. Milou Mackenzie (R-Lehigh/Montgomery/Northampton) is inviting residents of the 131st District to attend two free community events this October.

On Thursday, Oct. 16, seniors are encouraged to attend a Senior Expo at the Lower Milford Fire Company No. 1 on Limeport Pike in Coopersburg from 10 a.m. to noon. The event will feature vendors and organizations providing resources and information for older adults, along with giveaways and free health screenings.

On Saturday, Oct. 18, residents can safely dispose of sensitive documents at a free shredding event at Hopewell Community Park in Center Valley from 10 a.m. to noon. Each resident may bring up to four boxes or bags of documents. Staff will collect items directly from vehicles to ensure a safe and convenient process.

“These events are a great way to connect with neighbors, learn about available resources, and take advantage of services that can make a real difference,” said Mackenzie. “I hope to see many of you there.”
